I hear you:
getting groups going can be hard…
The classic format for Systemic Constellation Work is in a group. And for good reason: systems by definition mean we are dealing with more than one element, and in a group, we can connect with many elements in families and organizations.
However, most new facilitators run into a problem right away: gathering groups can be hard! They are also time consuming, and can be expensive. The beginning of a facilitator’s practice is often the hardest time to convince potential clients to take the time and pay the kind of money that makes constellation groups financially viable.
However, it’s not just an issue of “viable business models” for practitioners. There are many situations where a practitioner might find themselves on their own with a client – for instance, the many psychotherapists who’ve developed thriving private practices, and who, after training, want to integrate constellations wisdom into the work they’re doing with individuals and couples. In these kinds of situations, facilitators want an effective way to do this work with clients who need it.
The good news is that since Bert Hellinger first developed the work, it’s been adapted to a wide variety of settings, including 1:1 client situations.
“New muscles” and mastery:
what’s different about individual work?
This course will be a deep dive into various approaches doing 1:1 work, and a practical coaching program to develop the new muscles facilitators need to be comfortable and masterful working with individuals and couples.
But do you really need a new course? You’ve already studied and learned how to do group work; is doing 1:1 work really that different?
In some ways, of course, it isn’t. You still need to have a deep familiarity with the Orders of Love, understand family systems generally, and have a growing skill at Field Perception. All of that translates into individual and couples work perfectly.
However, there are some other skills that 1:1 work needs, and which this course will provide:
♦ Perception: How to access Field information without human representatives.
♦ Model Application: Familiarity with some different approaches to doing 1:1 constellations (see some examples, below).
♦ Rapport: Skill at helping a client new to constellations understand what’s happening, and feel connected to what’s unfolding, without the benefit of other people to model the work.
♦ Containment: Holding safe space, and often intense family emotions, without the group to help you do that.
♦ Distance Work: If you are doing the constellation on video conferencing or the phone, how to tap into Field information at a distance.
♦ Role Assignment: The ability to discern who should do the representing – you, the client, or both of you.
The extra good news? All of these skills will help you become a better facilitator in and out of group work!
There’s more than one way work with individuals…
There are many approaches to 1:1 work, and more are being created by innovative facilitators all the time (you’ll be doing it yourself before too long!).
Some models you’ll learn in this course are:
♦ Constellations in the form of guided meditations (also very useful for use with a whole group at once)
♦ Constellations “In the Mind”
♦ Constellations with index cards (or “footprints” or pillows, etc.) with you and a client.
♦ Integrating shorter constellation pieces into psychotherapy, NLP, EFT, coaching, and other modalities.
♦ Constellations online.
♦ Constellation exercises and tips you can send home with a client to use between sessions. This includes simple constellations anyone can do on their own.
Is this course for you?
There are really only two qualifications for joining this course:
You’re a trained constellation facilitator, on your way to becoming one, or an experienced alternative healing practitioner with some familiarity with constellations who wants to integrate this into their work.
You want to expand your skills so you can deepen your service to your clients.
Some specific people who are also an especially good fit:
♦ People who know they want to develop a strong 1:1 change work practice.
♦ People who are already skilled in some other 1:1 modality (psychotherapy, coaching, etc.), and want to integrate constellation work into it.
♦ People who already have a private practice of some kind.
♦ People who have discovered that they are constellation “nerds,” and want to find out about all aspects of Family Constellation work.
♦ People who feel challenged by the idea of gathering groups or working with groups, and want more confidence as facilitators, and some additional ways to financially support their growing work.
Who this class is NOT a good fit for (PLEASE READ!):
If this will be your first exposure to constellations, or you’ve had very little exposure so far, this probably isn’t the place to start! We will be presupposing that people have seen constellations, have watched representatives, and generally understand the process. Because students practice with each other, everyone will need just a basic understanding of the work. Students do not need to have taken a training or fully understand the foundational principles, but this is not the right place for anyone’s very first exposure to this work.
If you’ve never seen constellations before, click here for a good (and affordable) place to start! If you are reading this without any, or very little, experience, but you still want to join this class, then attend my constellations and/or find constellation offerings (there are many online) and then, if you’ve gotten yourself acquainted, contact me so we can see if it’s a good fit!
The unexpected benefits…
My facilitator learning philosophy: We are not meant to become identical facilitators. Becoming a masterful facilitator means becoming more and more ourselves, and owning our specific genius in this work, whether it is more emotional or intellectual, verbal or quiet, etc. You are at your best for your clients when you can be your best You while working the Field.
This course is about learning 1:1 constellations, and being able to do them confidently and elegantly. However, because when I teach I bring my philosophy along, there is a bonus benefit of taking this course: it will contribute to the deepening of your constellations practice so that you can continue to grow into the unique and confident facilitator you are meant to be, in groups as well as with individuals.
Meet your trainer:
I have been facilitating constellations since 2008. I organized the 2015 North American Systemic Constellations (NASC) Conference in San Diego, and have presented at every NASC conference since 2011. I trained with Bert and Sophie Hellinger in Mexico City, and I have supported the work of the International Systemic Constellations Association (ISCA). I’ve presented internationally in Australia, Thailand, Croatia and New Zealand. Finally, I am also the founding organizer for the Western Constellations Intensive, now celebrating its ninth successful year highlighting some of the best national and international trainers.
I have been in private practice since 2009, working with individuals and couples, applying Family Constellations principles and practices in a wide diversity of situations: marital trouble, depression, addiction, fertility issues, food problems, anxiety, employment and money challenges, and much more. I lead annual trainings in constellations work, and offer workshops every few weeks online.
I am also an ordained Episcopal minister, and have worked in the tender and personal place where spirituality and day to day life meet for over twenty years.
Above all, I am a skilled facilitator, trainer and group leader, and nothing gives me more joy than feeling groups come together to bring deep transformation for everyone.

Premium versions of the course
For those of you who want a bit more personalized, customized guidance, I am offering two premium versions of the course. One version includes an one hour online coaching session with me; the other includes a two-hour online private healing constellation session. There are many things you might consider using these sessions for:
Business Model Coaching: How do you plan to offer constellation services to reach your financial goals? Do you want to lead workshops? Have a lot of 1:1 sessions? Offer regular Family Constellation gatherings? All of the above? In this hour of coaching, we’ll take a look at what you most like and want to do, and develop a rough plan for how you can build a practice that will meet your financial goals.
Facilitator Coaching: What are your main fears about being a practitioner? What most has you confused or not fully engaged? In this hour of coaching, we’ll find out what the main obstacles you have to being the best facilitator you can be, and develop a plan to integrate the growth and healing you need going forward.
Personal Healing: While you are integrating the learning of the class and immersed in its Field, a private constellation can be incredibly powerful. It would be a 1:1 constellation addressing a personal issue of your choice.
One hour of coaching with me is normally $175; as part of the premium 1 version, you save $80.
A two-hour constellation with me is normally $300; as part of the premium 2 version, you save $115.
Note: These discounted sessions must be used sometime July 1 – August 31, 2025.
You may wonder: Can you add both a coaching call and a personal constellation for a substantial discount? Yes! Contact me for details and special invoicing on that.

A note about the video conferencing:
This program will be conducted on Zoom. There is no extra cost for participants to use Zoom. It does require reliable internet access and a webcam. It also requires reasonable privacy, and the ability to set aside the time for the training (it is very difficult to participate while multi-tasking, like providing childcare or driving). Constellation work is, in its classic form, a group process, so we will be depending upon each other to create the group experience, learning and container.

On the Fence?
I understand. It’s an investment, and you want to make sure it’s right for you. Please contact me as soon as possible with your questions to see if this training is a good match for your constellation learning and growth.
