So much of our healing industries – whether for personal or for societal healing – seem to focus on division and figuring out who’s to blame. Is it our parents? A social group? A perspective? Maybe ourselves?
As a result, our healing work can inadvertently reinforce divisions, whether in our culture or in ourselves, which undermines the goal we are really reaching for, which is personal integration and renewed community.
“Falling Apart to Come Together” – this is the theme of the Fourth West Coast Constellations Intensive. It reflects what almost all constellations reveal: that the way things are currently “stitched together,” whether inside ourselves or in our world, needs to come un-stitched before we can find our shared common ground again.
It’s tricky business, though. One of the reasons we resist change is because the “falling apart” aspect can be untenable. Too much falling apart, and nothing functions at all. It will wreak its own damage. So, how do we have the courage to do it?
Community. Only together can we find the way forward. Together, we can soften the process with kindness, witnessing, support and solidarity, so that in the end, we find that the falling apart was, perhaps, even a joy…
This process will be at the heart of the West Coast Intensive, taking place this June in Northern California. (That’s a picture of our amazing venue!) We will be supported by three experienced teachers:
- Jane Peterson, who is one of early students of Bert Hellinger (founder of Family Constellations work), and who’s been developing the work for a wide variety of contexts for over 20 years.
- Suzi Tucker, who was at our last Intensive, and who was one of the first people who introduced Bert Hellinger to the USA, and who brings the spirit of poetry to constellations.
- Leslie Nipps (me!), who has been committed to creating high quality constellations events for many years, and who brings the heart of a pastor to this work.
Together, we will create an adventurous but safe container to discover how healing can happen without “othering” others, or ourselves.
The Super Early Bird ends this Wednesday. Until then, you can save $300 on the final price, so, this is the best time to jump in. We offer installment plans. So, check out the website, and we warmly invite you to join us this June.
